What is Capital Cost Allowance (CCA)?

DEFINITION

Capital Cost Allowance is the Canadian tax deduction that lets businesses claim depreciation on eligible capital assets over time.

Equipment financed through a loan can generally still be depreciated through CCA. Rates depend on the asset class — confirm with your accountant.
